Today we left San Diego on our way south to our first stop at Cabo San Lucus. We were slightly delayed due to the bad storm causing travel problems for some of our passengers. We were led to understand that a large number still did not make it on time and may catch up with us when we dock in Cabo.
I was not able to take any photographs so I have decided to include pictures from our trip in the car between Montana and San Diego. We first stopped in Napa California where we met Scott, Emily and Patrick for a tour of wine country. Needless to say this was terrific. Lots of wine tasting. Next Chris and I drove to Lake Tahoe and spent two days driving around the lake and taking in the sights. From there we drove to Yosemite National Park where we were able to drive up the canyon floor past El Capitan and got a good look at Half Dome. From there we angled south toward the coast. We spent a night at the Madonna Inn in San Louis Obispo. This is one of the most intentionally gaudy and overdone hotels in the world. Hot pink is their theme color just to give you a clue. From there we spent the next four days in Los Angles with Stephan and Patrick. That was a real treat since the boys alternated driving us around. We were able meet many of their friends and really see what their lives are like in LA. We then made our way south to the Del Coronado Hotel in San Diego which I wrote about in the first blog.
