Well another day afloat on the briny sea. Leaving Lima, Peru we have now completed the southward part of our journey and are headed back north. Our stateroom will now be on the west side of the ship and afford us a good view of the sunsets.
We continue to compete in the trivia games and recently have tied for first on many occasions. I have completed the six books I brought with me and am now at the mercy of the on board library.
We are starting to notice that crew members are turning up sick. So far the drummer, the librarian, some of the wait staff and one of the entertainers have succumbed. The sick entertainer is billed as a “trumpet virtuoso”. It is not breaking my heart he is unable to perform. We are very careful to use the hand sanitizer provided throughout the ship. I am wondering if this could be the start of a bigger epidemic common to cruise ships.
At night the movies and the shows entertain us. It seems decadent to be worried about how you will spend your evening after dining in the restaurant. Hoping it will be a movie you haven’t seen or a good quality show.
