Day 9 At Sea toward Panama

Today was a typical day at sea.  Chris spent her day exercising, “swimming” in the hot tub, playing trivia, reading and attempting to stay clear of the raisin bread pudding.  (Paula, Chris thinks of you every time she walks past it.)

I usually exercise, read, play trivia and check out the Sudoku and the trivia quiz of the day. I also check out the ice cream options.  Mark and Gretchen raved about the Macaroons on their ship, but we have been unable to find any on our ship.

In the evenings we usually see the live entertainment or the movie or both.  Sometimes the live entertainment leaves a lot to be desired.  A few examples:  three days ago the act was billed as “Skinny Jewish Juggler” last night they did not even bother to describe the entertainer but rather made you come to see what it was going to be.  It turned out to be a clarinet player.  I am sure he was very talented, but he did not appeal to me.  They do have a performing group of eight singers and dancers that put on evening shows.  The early show at 8 pm is usually sold out and the late show usually has lots of seats available.  I guess that is what goes with an older guest passenger profile.

It is funny to see the line at the dining room when it opens at 5:15.  You would think that seniors were getting discounted meals by the size of the group assembled.

I have included a picture of Chris and I celebrating our trivia win with a free bottle of Champaign.  I don’t want to give the wrong impression we did not drink it ourselves, rather we shared it with the rest of our team.
